This Formula
Already Had a Following.

Charles Poliquin — the strength coach and mentor who shaped how a generation of coaches thought about training and supplementation — made a magnesium L-threonate liquid called ZenMag. It came in 2oz bottles, circa 2010.

As a gym owner and strength coach ordering from Poliquin regularly, I was bringing in as many as I could — and Poliquin capped me at 100 bottles a month. I always thought this would be an amazing product. When Poliquin canceled it, I decided I would make it one day. It took forever — but here it is.

The Formula Evolution

The original was 30 individual 2oz bottles — a logistical challenge to store, pack, and sell. The solution was to consolidate into a single 15oz bottle with a measuring cap. One tablespoon per day. Same dose. No droppers, no guesswork. (Finding a formulator that could produce this without thickening agents like xanthan gum was its own challenge.)

The active ingredient is the same — Magtein® at 2000mg per serving, the clinically studied dose. The stevia is an upgrade: organic stevia (Rebaudioside A and Rebaudioside M). Reb M is the rarest steviol glycoside, found in less than 1% of the stevia plant, and is considered the cleanest tasting — closest to sugar, least bitter aftertaste.

The flavor is mine — Strawberry Lemon, specified and approved through Magtein's corporate approval process. The original used generic natural flavor. This formula had to be reviewed and reapproved by Magtein directly. It passed — partly because the original had already met their standards.
